As a Canadian business, we have been waiting patiently to tackle this classic dessert. Although the debate rages on as to whether or not a butter tart is best plain, with nuts or with raisins - we think the takeaway point is they are DELICIOUS!
Our take on butter tarts involves a special maple butter caramel base studded with toasted walnuts and finished with our classic shortbread. For the shell we opted for a thin layer of milk chocolate to contain all that sticky sweetness!
